QC Inspection Engineer
Job Description: The individual will be responsible for inspecting electronic components, assemblies, and finished products, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications, identifying defects, and recommending corrective actions.
- Carry out incoming material, in process assemblies and final product for quality, defect and adherence to specifications.
- Perform visual inspections of assembled PCBs using appropriate equipment to identify defects like solder quality issues, missing or misplaced components, and other visual damage.
- Inspect solder joints for both Through-Hole and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) defects, ensuring proper solder flow, bridging, and voids.
- Segregate and identify boards with defects, accurately document the nature and location of each defect, and provide reports as per relevant inspection report.
- Verify the value, polarity, and placement of components on the PCB, ensuring they match the design specifications and bill of materials.
- Assist in testing PCBs for failures and perform repairs or rework to correct identified defects.
- Ensure that all inspections and processes adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Co-ordinate with 3rd party inspectors / inspection agencies.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, defects, and corrective actions.
- Inspection, acceptance & clearance of manufactured components/assemblies at vendor/sub-contractor premises.
- Ensure product performance by involving in stage wise functional testing as per ATP / QTP.
- Investigate any quality issues to identify root cause and raise appropriate corrective action report and ensure issues are addressed and resolved.
- Carry out process auditing.
- Collaborate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers to identify and resolve quality related issues
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools
- Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Have a good understanding of PCB schematics, bills of material, and other relevant documentation.
- Knowledge of Soldering
- Knowledge of Incoming Goods Inspection
